Cambodia Casinos

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is not legal. Eight casinos are situated in a generally tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income acquired from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; however, financing sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are allegedly needed to cross, there are means around this, as is correct of many borders.

The first Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just a single gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked ship gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slots and sixty table games. The Naga gambling hall never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of chemin de fer, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are 150 slot machines and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the normal table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive vacation and hotel compound that highlights a number of amenities in addition to the casino, which houses ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slots and eighty eight table games.
